Howdy entrepreneurs

For those who missed the story last week, Ad Dynamo has just won exclusive rights to promote Arsenal in a number of African countries including SA, Nigeria and Kenya. Just stop for a moment and let that sink in…. Arsenal the team you watch on TV is giving part of their marketing budget to a local start-up – we really do produce some phenomenal entrepreneurs and Sean and his team should serve as an inspiration to the rest of the country.

Busy week in terms of different initiatives that are on the go so let’s jump right in to it.

1. Books. There are some cracking books out at the moment including the new book from Ronnie Apteker and Gus Silber called Funny Business: The Secrets of an Accidental Entrepreneur. There’s also “Secrets of the MoneyLab: How Understanding People Will Increase Your Profits”. We have profiles of these on the blog

2. Global Trader have again kicked off their What’s Stopping You? challenge and I have been asked to be a celebrity blogger and trader for them. I love this concept because it empowers south Africans to take control of their finances and give themselves an opportunity to grow their personal wealth. They have a nice tool on their site which assesses your risk profile and gives you some indication about how you would fare from a psychological perspective when it comes to the market. Check it out – it’s a great way to take that first step to consider the first step toward investing in the stockmarket or day-trading.

3. Rival Tenders – Adrian hit on a good point over the weekend. Part of the concept behind Rival Pioneers was to help them see opportunities when they came up and basically bridge the gap between themselves and potential customers. With that in mind, we’ve put together a blog at – http://rivaltenders.bundublog.com/ – with a couple of opportunities for small business owners. We’ll keep updating it. If you have an opportunity and you are looking to engage a service provider then send Adrian an e-mail – adrian@rivalmoney.co.za
